Buyer’s Premium: 23% This eclectic auction features an array of mid-century modern and Danish modern furniture, art, and decor. Highlights include an iconic Hans Wegner Papa Bear chair, showcasing the Danish designer's mastery of organic forms and supreme comfort. Crafted from teak with a plum-colored upholstered seat and back, this lounge chair is a true collector's piece. Another standout is a Mira Nakashima Conoid chair, handcrafted at the renowned Nakashima Studios in New Hope, Pennsylvania. The sculptural walnut form with hickory spindles and signature live edge exemplifies the artistry and craftsmanship of the Nakashima legacy. Also highlighted is a chess table from Bucks County furniture designer Jeffrey Greene. The auction also presents an opportunity to acquire works by notable artists such as Salvador Dali, Peter Max, and Erte (Romain de Tirtoff). A colored etching by Dali entitled "Tristan et Iseult - The Lovers Condemned" captures the artist's surreal vision, while serigraphs by Max and Erte showcase their vibrant, whimsical styles. For those seeking statement decor, the sale includes a Paolo Soleri bronze Arcosanti windbell, Gino Vistosi "Candia" lamps, and an Anzolo Fuga for AVEM Murano glass vase. Dansk enthusiasts will find an array of Jens Quistgaard designs, from teak salad bowls and peppermill to enameled cookware and wrought iron candle holders. Other tableware highlights include Rosenthal Studio-Line "Papyrus" crystal, Tapio Wirkkala "Ultima Thule" glassware for Iittala, and a Supreme Cutlery "Sateen" flatware set. On the furniture front, the auction presents sideboards, tables, wall units, and other pieces by designers such as Arne Vodder, Ib Kofod-Larsen, Christian Linneberg, Kai Kristiansen, Jeffrey Greene, and Richard Schultz. Additional highlights include a Charles And Ray Eames For Herman Miller lounge chair and ottoman, and other seating by Thomas Moser, Florence Knoll, Harry Bertoia, and Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Gavina Pigreco . From rosewood pieces to industrial decor, this wide-ranging sale is a treasure trove for mid-century modern design aficionados looking to elevate their collections.
