Autograph letter of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807-1882) American poet and college professor. Letter being 3pp addressed to Mr. C.F. Hollingsworth dated Nahant, September 8, 1860 with each page measuring 7" x 4.25". Letter reads "Nahant, Sept 8, 1860, Dear Sir, I have had the honor of receiving your letter informing me of my election as an honorary Member of you Literary Institute. I beg you to present my acknowledgment to the gentlemen of the Society and to say to them that it gives me much pleasure to accept this mark of their regard. I remain, Yours Truly, Henry W. Longfellow.". Letter is framed in double sided frame with later photographic portrait of Longfellow measuring 6.25" x 4". Frame measures 13.75" x 13.5"
