World War II French 100 Franc banknote of the 1939 series bearing serial number T65711. Obverse of note exhibits ink manuscript inscription at top border "June 7, 1944 D+1". Additionally the obverse of note exhibits 25 autographs of US servicemen and their hometowns. Cursory research of these autographs reveals that some of them are members of the Unite States Navy. These type notes, known as "short snorters" were done by US service members as souvenirs to record other service members that served in their units or that they met. Note measures 4.5" x 7" that exhibits wear and folds.
