21 1/2" unfullered single-edged blade marked GBER WEYERSBERG on 1 side of the ricasso and SOLINGEN on the reverse, brass hilt marked with crown FW 54 crown proof, unique Danish M1853/66 style spring steel release, in a leather scabbard with stapled brass chape and throat marked with matching crown FW 54 crown proofs. The bayonet very closely resembles the Danish M1853/66 but has a single-edge blade, unlike the Danish double-edge blade.
