E.G. Lamson/Ball Patent repeating carbine in .50 cal with 20.5" round barrel. Left side of frame stamped in 6 lines","E. G. LAMSON & CO. / WINDSOR. VT. / U.S. / BALLS PATENT. / JUNE 23, 1863 / MAR. 15. 1864.". Carbine is not serial numbered. Carbine exhibits much of it's original bluing and case hardening that has obtained plum toning. Wood on left wrist exhibits light ordnance inspector's cartouche. Wood is in good condition with minimal surface abrasions.
