Collection of World War I related items including; 1.) Trench art 75mm shell casing measuring 3" x 12". Chromed surface presents a scallop cut top and design featuring word "Verdun" surrounded by floral motif. Base of shell marked "MANIE PS.12.17.". 2.) Trench art 75mm shell casing measuring 3" x 13.5". Shell has been worked to present a fluted appearance with base marked "75 DE C C 978 L17 C" as well as punched words "Aug 18 1934 John Colgherty". 3.) Trench art 75mm shell casing measuring 3" x 13.5". Shell has been worked to present punched floral design with base marked "15 DEC" and navy anchor markings. 4.) United States fighting knife measuring 13.25" (8.5" blade) with flat brass crossguard. Ricasso of blade marked "Winchester". Knife lacks scabbard. Provenance: Charles Lekites Collection.
