Fighting/Bowie knife made from cut down late 19th century Austrian sword. Knife measures 15" (9.5" blade) and features lion head pommel and flat mother of pearl grips. Blade marked "F. Mayer" and exhibits graying. Knife lacks scabbard. Provenance: Charles Lekites Collection.
