Collection of military and historical items including; 1.) United States Army officers belt with eagle plate. Leather exhibits some dryness c.late 19th century. 2.) Pair of New York infantry shoulder knots for the rank of captain in the 14th New York infantry. Brass attachments marked "J.H. Kenny & Co., New York" c.late 19th century. 3.) United States Navy officers belt plate with reverse marked "Horstman, Phila." c.late 19th/early 20th century. 4.) Paper weight with brass decorative top commemorating the USS Brooklyn launch on November 30, 1936. Piece measures 3.5" in diameter and 2.5" in height. 5.) Nineteenth century weighted billy club with decorative nautical rope/string wrap. Club measures 8" in length. 6.) Nautical parallel chart device measuring 12" x 2.5". 7.) Enamel United States flag measuring 4.25" x 3.5" and displaying 48 stars in canton. Reverse of item presents two attachment rings. Enamel surface exhibits chip at lower left. 8.) Paper mache snuff box measuring 2.75" in diameter and showing a transfer farm related scene on lid. 9.) Panel top to box being constructed of stained teak of a floral carved design and measuring 4.75" x 8". In center of pane is a carved bone plaque measuring 2" x 2" of an eagle with banner above with text "LIBERTY" and banner below "JKB". Provenance: Charles Lekites Collection.
