High bid $170.00

Status: Sold

IDEAL "Deanna Durbin" doll. 21" Doll inspired by the 1939 Film "Gulliver's Travels". This doll is different from the other Deanna Durbin dolls as it has painted brown eyes, not sleep eyes. It still has the open mouth showing teeth. A black mohair wig. Dressed in original costume: satin shirt, vest, leatherette boots. The original brown wool tights have been replaced with brown cotton tights. Note: Deanna Durbin had nothing to do with the film, but Ideal found it convenient to use the model for the Gulliver doll. They simply changed the wig and painted the eyes. Condition: as stated. Crazing. Some age discoloration on clothing.
